FAQS
Can I secure my next rate before my current one ends?
Yes – every lender operates a switch window, which is the period before your current rate ends during which you can secure a new deal. The earlier you do, the more time there is to benefit from any rate drops. The length of the switch window is shown at the top of this page.
Can my secured rate be amended if it drops?
Yes – securing a rate doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it. Your lender allows it to be amended to a lower equivalent any number of times before your switch date. We monitor that exact rate and notify you by email if it drops, so you can act straight away.
What if I’ve already secured a rate and can’t see it in the app?
Because our rates are live, the rate you secured may have been available at a lower level than what’s showing now – a good sign that you acted at the right time. Simply use our ‘set secured rate’ feature to enter the rate you’ve already locked in and we’ll notify you by email if it drops below that level.
Does it matter how I’ve secured my rate?
Not at all – the alert service works the same way regardless of which route you’ve taken. The rates we monitor are broker rates, and in the vast majority of cases these are identical to direct rates. Any reduction will almost always be applied across both channels simultaneously, so you can act with confidence whichever route you’ve used.
